On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution, the Reinventing Revolution Conference will focus on radical traditions that were inspired by, extended, or challenged the legacies of the Bolsheviks in engagement with the struggles for decolonization. The conference will include two panels—“Decolonizing Revolution: Circuits of Knowledge, Struggle and Solidarity” and “What’s Left of the Left? Alternative Futures”—, an art talk "The Art of Decolonization", and a roundtable discussion, “Radical Imaginaries, Radical Feminisms: The Third World Revisited.” Discussants such as Pamela Calla (NYU), George Ciccariello-Maher (Drexel), Michelle Chase (Pace), Gabrielle DaCosta (Columbia), Eve Dunbar (Vassar), Johanna Fernández (Baruch), Tao Leigh Goffe (NYU), Marnia Lazreg (Hunter/CUNY GC), Vijay Prashad (Trinity), Svati Shah (UMass Amherst), Dina Siddiqi (BRAC), and Gary Wilder (CUNY GC) will visit Gallatin. Also joining the conference will be NYU Gallatin faculty members, including Sinan Antoon, Sophia Azeb, Gianpaolo Baiocchi, Paula Chakravartty, Marie Cruz Soto, Valerie Forman, Rosalind Fredericks, AB Huber, Ritty Lukose, Meleko Mokgosi, Vasuki Nesiah, Millery Polyné, George Shulman, and Duncan Yoon.
